Which Park Pass

On a tour? Check who pays the nonresident fee

Day tours from Las Vegas, San Francisco or Salt Lake City still pass through the entrance gate.

The nonresident fee also applies on commercial tours. A pass holder aged 16 or older covers themselves plus three more nonresidents in the tour group.

Check your booking

  1. Open what's included in your tour. Look for the words "nonresident fee" or "non-resident fee".
  2. If it says excluded, budget $100 for each adult in your group who isn't a U.S. resident, at each of the 11 parks.
  3. If you'd pay the $100 three or more times in total, for example three adults at one park or one adult at three parks, a $250 nonresident pass costs less. One pass covers the holder and three more nonresidents on the tour.
  4. Ask the operator how they collect it: on the day, in advance, or at the gate.

In tour listings we looked at in October 2026, many Grand Canyon day tours from Las Vegas list the nonresident fee as not included. Prices and terms change, so read your own booking.
